acres of open space at Sand Hollow State Park.

After a fantastic transatlantic sail to Europe, our land adventures in the USA continue in Coach Addy. Oh man did it feel great to get back into our home, Coach Addy, and hit the road! And just like for any long trip...It's awesome to be back home. Even more awesome that our home moves from place to place staying at amazing campsites and visiting awe inspiring places across the country. That's the focus of this writing. As a native San Diegan and outdoors person, I am surprised I had never previously heard of Bonelli Bluffs. It's located in San Dimas in the middle of Los Angeles County and is situated on a reservoir. It's a short 80 miles from our home.

What an amazing location for a campground! All the sites are really good but about a quarter of the sites are premium sites located on the water or on the bluff with an amazing view and are well worth the extra $10 a night to stay, some of the sites are huge with grass on both sides. The park has a resort feel, is family friendly and is a mix on monthly campers and weekend campers. The staff is amazing. It's a little more expensive that most county or state parks but well worth the price considering its location

You feel as if you are totally separated from an urban environment, yet you're right in the middle of one. We had a great four day stay here entertaining family and friends.

After Bonelli Bluffs our next destination was Zion National Park. Julie expertly researched our park options here resulting in us staying at Sand Hollow State Park about 20 miles outside of ZIon National Park. The campground is awe inspiring with both lake sites and large natural open space sites. We choose a natural space site and it feels like were on 100 acres of the most beautiful and quiet desert scape. The entrance to the state park is impressive with rangers stationed to sign you in and help you out and the campsites all have a roofed patio structure covering a table and grill, and full hook ups. We are spending 5 days at Sand Hollow, we are just loving every moment of our time here. It's a great place to ebike, go off roading or boating and the sunsets composed of the red soils and verdant green plant life in the foregrounds are incredibly beautiful, unlike any other sunset I've seen. So special.

Zion National Park RV Tips.

How do you put into words and pictures the beauty of Zion National Park? You don't, at least not very well. You have to visit the park to see its majesty, be in the park and marvel at the vertical multi colored walls soaring above you, the glorious colors and diversity of flora and the wildlife. Arguably, the most beautiful place on our earth.

Taking an RV into the park is a great way to see Zion, here are a few tips for a great RV visit to Zion.

1. Buy an annual National Parks Pass. If you're over 62, buy a lifetime senior pass for free entry into any National Park, National Monument and most Canadian National Parks.

2. The park opens at 8:00am and has free RV parking for about 40 RV's of different sizes. Plan your arrival to the front gates of the park about 15 minutes before the park opens. If you do this, it's a pretty good bet that your get one of the coveted RV spots very near the Visitors Center, this will become your home-base throughout the visit. If you arrive later, prepare to pay up to $40 a day outside the park if your lucky enough to find a RV parking space in Springdale. 3. From the visitors center, take the free shuttle around the most scenic portions of the park that are off limits to any private vehicle. The round trip takes about 2 hours but allow for another few hours for hiking and walking on the various trails. 4. For lunch or an early dinner, take a second free shuttle round trip from the visitors center to the town of Springdale just a mile or two away. The shuttles run every seven to 15 minutes. Or have a meal in your RV. 5. Zion is one of the greatest ebike locations in the USA! You can eBike on a trail just for peds and bikes, or on the shuttle route that is off limits to private vehicles. You must yield to the shuttles while on this street, and stop your ebike before the shuttle will pass you. You can also ebike on any of the other public roads in the park.

Take a day or a week to explore Zion National Park. It's unbelievable and worth every moment of your time. A few more days here in Zion and then on to Bryce Canyon National Park.

The incredible Adventures of Coach Addy continue. Thanks for reading. Peder
